Dr (TCM) Fang was educated at Hunan Traditional Chinese Medical University, China, and graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor degree in TCM. This full-time five-year honour degree course included one-year internship at two of the largest TCM hospitals in Hunan Province.

She has been practising acupuncture and Chinese medicine for more than 30 years, and earned a superb reputation in successfully treating a wide range of illnesses such as Arthritis & Joint Pain, Back Pain, Endometriosis & PCOS, Migraine/Headache, Sciatica and Neuralgia, etc.

After graduating from the Hunan TCM University, she practiced in Hunan hospital, and then was promoted to head of the Department of Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine of the hospital. She has been practising in the UK since 1997. 1997-2004, she was appointed as the Chinese Medical Consultant of the Chinese Community News magazine in Glasgow.

2006-2007, she successfully completed an Approved Theoretical and Practical Training Course in Electro-Crystal Therapy in the Oldfield College, South Ruislip, London. Since then, she has been a Certified Practitioner (Certificate No. 0702) in this Discipline.

1989-1990, she carried out a one-year (fulltime) research project on heart and blood vessel diseases in the Department of Heart and Blood Vessel of Wuhan Honshan Hospital, China.

1986-1987, she carried out a one-year (fulltime) research project on auricular acupuncture in the Department of Auricular Acupuncture, TCM Institution of Hunan Province, China. 

1975-1977, she completed a two-year fulltime course of TCM and Western Medicine in the Medical College of Shiangcheng County, Henan, China, obtained Diploma certificate. 

In 1974, as a “barefoot” Doctor, she started practising acupuncture, supervised/trained by a famous TCM doctor in Henan Province.
