Dr Yu graduated from Hei Long Jiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Univerity in 1986.

She is a highly experienced doctor trained in both Chinese and Western Medicine. And has taught acupuncture  and Chinese medicine to western doctors. She spent many years working as a neurological consultant in Beijing and Harbin University Hospitals.

She has published articles in Chinese medical journals on acupuncture for stroke victims , depression, fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, weight loss and a training manual titled Acupuncture for Beauticians.

Arriving in the UK in 2004 she first worked in a traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic in Newcastle upon tyne. In 2007 she opened  Sun Hie Chinese Acupuncture And Healthy Living Centre in Whitley bay.

Since opening she has successfully treated many patients using Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine with ailments including Back pain, Stroke victims, Fertility issues, Skin problems and many more.

Dr Yu is a full member of The Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM) .
