Mrs. Xiangling Shi studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at the Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (1984-1989), obtaining a bachelor’s degree, before completing the postgraduate course at the same university (2004-2006). From 1989 to 2007 she worked as a fully qualified doctor of Chinese medicine in the TCM Hospital of Jiaozuo, China, most recently as Chief Doctor in the internal medicine department. During this period she successfully treated many patients suffering from acute and chronic diseases using herbal medicine and acupuncture. She has co-authored the book Practical Clinical Internal Medicine (published by Military Medical Publishing House, April 2001) and has published numerous professional articles in Chinese medical journals. Since 2007 she has practised Chinese Medicine in the United Kingdom. She is highly experienced in the treatment of infertility problems (in both men and women), menstruation problems, all kinds of pain, various skin conditions, depression, menopause syndrome, insomnia, and other conditions. She is especially skilled in anti-aging and beauty treatments using acupuncture, her own facial meridian detoxification method, and fresh herbal masks (using only natural ingredients). She is an associate professor at the UK Academy of Chinese Medicine and a member of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture UK (ATCM). She is the owner and Chief Doctor of WellBeing Chinese Health Care Ltd, a Chinese medical centre in St Albans.
