- An experienced Chief Officer, Interim Manager, and Consultant with a successful track record of delivering major change within Local Authorities (LA’s), Registered Social Landlords (RSL’s), and Primary Care Trusts (PCT’s). Nationally recognised for providing innovative, cutting edge solutions for personalisation, reablement, and Health, Social Care and Housing Integration. Passionate about making a difference to people’s lives
- Change of career – designed and made contemporary glass jewellery/art from my workshop, selling my designs nationally and internationally. I worked with Keele University and local Staffordshire schools at this time, mentoring, training and offering work experience opportunities.
I am now retired spending most of my time between Cornwall and Staffordshire .
ACHIEVEMENTS:…some examples
- Selected to represent British Design in Vienna Oct 2013 also Turkey in December 2013
- Sold my first collection inspired by the Staffordshire Hoard to the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery October 2013
- Awarded National Public Servant of the Year award for delivering innovative Sheltered Accommodation Services. Developed a preventative model of older persons floating support.
- Awarded Gold EAC Housing for Older People Award- The best Housing-with-care scheme (nominated by customers)
- National recognition for the production of a DVD/play that promoted good practice of a services model, designed with customers to deliver a personalised approach. The model and the DVD involved all key stakeholders.
- Responsible for developing a model which integrates PCT Community Services with Adult Social Care, and housing related support. The model has been recognised by the national lead of the Common Assessment Process and national lead for Supporting People as best practise for reablement and prevention.
- Conducted a Strategic Review for a large RSL to shape their support services. Responsible for implementing the review and establishing the new support service.
- Awarded Innovation award from a large PCT for developing a neighbourhood model of integrated public service provision.
- Developed and rolled out a RESPECT Family Intervention Project which is nationally recognised for successfully targeting some of the most challenging families in the country. Developed a support and challenge model which challenge anti-social behaviour whilst providing support
- Successful history of writing bids and securing funding. Funding secured including Supporting People funding, NRF Funding, RESPECT Funding, Area Based Grant Funding, PCT and ASC Funding – 0ver £2 million pounds
