About
I qualified as a Licensed Oriental Medicine Physician in Korea in 1995, after a six-year degree in Oriental Medicine at Daegu Haany University, and went on to take an MSc in Human Physiology at Kyung Hee University. Before moving to the UK, I worked as a research biochemist at the Natural Products Research Institute, Seoul National University, alongside hospital practice in stroke urgent care and rehabilitation.
In the UK, I began by lecturing in physiology and diagnostics at the Asante Academy of Chinese Medicine / Middlesex University, and taught postgraduate courses to physicians across continental Europe. Since 2004 I have been in private practice in South West London, focusing on female and male fertility with a metabolic and bioenergetic approach — understanding fertility as a reflection of the body’s underlying energy, hormones and metabolic health. Alongside fertility, I work with hormone optimisation and the perimenopausal and menopausal transition, drawing on acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutritional therapy.
With over 30 years in clinical medicine and close to two decades devoted to fertility, my work brings together Eastern and Western training, laboratory science and clinical practice.
