Dr Weidong Huang, PhD

Dr. Weidong Huang obtained his Master’s degree from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) after completing eight years of professional training in both Chinese and Western medicine. From 1991 to 1999, he lectured and practised as a physician at BUCM, specialising in acupuncture and Chinese medicine.

 

In 1999, Dr. Huang moved to the United Kingdom to practise as an acupuncturist and doctor of Chinese medicine. He was awarded his PhD by the University of West London in 2009 for his research on traditional Chinese acupuncture for stress.

 

Between 2009 and 2019, Dr. Huang served as a Senior Lecturer and Clinic Lead for the acupuncture programmes at the Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine, London South Bank University.

 

He currently serves as an officer on the Traditional Chinese Medicine Accreditation Board (TCMAB).
