Shamim Malik Akhtar

Has over 30 years experience in Acupuncture, Complementary Medicine & Therapies.

He is a graduate of the Research Institute for Medical Acupuncture (RIMAc )  Malaysia,where he graduated in 2005. He was also a Research fellow, Division of Acupuncture for the Open International University for Complementary Medicine (OIUCM) Columbo,Sri Lanka 2004-2006.

Mr Shamim Malik Akhtar has undergone many post-graduate studies in Acupuncture at the China, Beijing,International Acupuncture Training Centre, Beijing, China, as well as the Wanjing Training Hospital , Beijing, China.

Mr Shamim Malik Akhtar is also a full member of Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling Association of Europe.(FSNAE) specialising in treating Muculoskeletal health issues through Subcutaneous needling.

Other Professional Experiences : Member of the Society of Homepaths (RSHom)  in Classical Homeopathy , Sports Therapy Organisations (STO) in Manual Therapy, British Cupping Society (BCS) in Hijama Cupping Therapy.

He combines all his knowledge and experience to provide a holistic treatment plan for his patients and can be contacted via the Shifa Active Health Clinic.
