Shamim Malik Akhtar is a graduate of the Research Institute for Medical Acupuncture (RIMAc) Malaysia,

and the Open International University for Complementary Medicine (OIUCM), Sri Lanka, where he submitted his PhD thesis on Acupuncture. He also has undergone Acupuncture training at the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Centre (China). He is also qualified in other therapies such as Classical Homeopathy, Manual Therapy, and Hijama Cupping.  He specialises in Acupuncture treatment & pain relief for Musculo-Skeletal Conditions & Arthritis.  He combines his Acupuncture treatment with other therapies to give the patient maximum benefit from his treatments. He is also a keen practitioner of Tai-Chi & Martial Arts.
