Mr John Dixon was educated at The University of Westminster, London UK and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Acupuncture. He has VTCT diplomas in Reflexology and Indian Head Massage. Additionally, he trained in Toyohari Meridian Therapy Acupuncture at the European Branch of the Toyohari Association in Amsterdam in 2012.

Mr Dixon has worked in hospice and palliative care for 10 years. He worked at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney, London, in the role of Lead Acupuncturist, followed by the role of Complementary Therapy Coordinator at Isabel Hospice, Hertfordshire. In his own practice, he has operated in clinics in North London and offered a home visiting service.

Mr Dixon has experience of acupuncture in the treatment of cancer and other life-limiting and neurological conditions such as COPD, MS and MND. He has experience of overseeing neurological support group services and seated acupuncture groups at St Joseph’s Hospice, including managing the safe provision of complementary therapies, including acupuncture, to patients.

Mr Dixon lived for three years in Japan. He currently practices karate and is studying Japanese.
