Qualified as a TCM practitioner in Nanjing medical school in 1977 and then practiced TCM in a general hospital for four years. Then re-entered Shanghai University of TCM for postgraduate programme and was awarded Master’s Degree in Medicine in 1986. He came to UK in 1993 as visiting scholar exchange programme. He Joined Middlesex University in 1997; then finished his Doctorate Degree in Medicine from Nanjing University of TCM in 2006.
Has been teaching TCM in China for over 7 years and came to UK and joined Middlesex University in 1997 developed the first BSc (Hons) TCM Programme in Europe. One of the pioneer practitioner and trainer of the Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling(FSN) acupuncture in the UK.
Other Professional Experiences
He worked as a Committee member for Classification for Borderline medicine, under Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) from 2002-2006. Appointed as Herbal Advisory Committee member under MHRA (2006-now). General Secretory of Traditional Chinese Medicine Accreditation Board (2005-now).
