PhD research focused on depression and led to largest UK clinical trial of acupuncture to date – comparing acupuncture with counseling and usual GP care. Worked with fertility, pregnancy care and childbirth, addiction, stress , trauma, emotional problems, depression and anxiety. Worked with elderly patients in a hospital based outpatient community project (The Hoxton Health Group). Clinical experience includes working in private practice, community projects, in a GP surgery and at the BBC. Moved to York in 2003. In addition to clinical work I have a film project completed on biodynamic craniosacral therapy and I am currently working on a short introductory film about the five elements of Chinese medicine. I greatly value the wisdom and understanding of traditional Chinese medicine and strive to achieve the best results for every patient I work with, whatever conditions or ailments they bring. I feel it is a privilege to practice this medicine.
