She started her medical training in 1980 in West China University of Medical Sciences. Received Bachelor degree in 1985 and Master degree in 1998. Became a consultant in 1991, and worked in University hospital until coming to the UK in 1996. Dr Jiang developed a new medical technique (Jiang’s method, published in 2004), which considerably improved the accuracy of diagnosis of osteoporotic fractures in the spine. Dr Jiang is regarded as ‘the queen of vertebral fracture’. As a leading bone expert, Dr Jiang was invited to review pharmaceutical companies’ clinical trials. She found problems which cast doubts on anti-osteoporosis treatments. She then focused on studying natural therapy for patients with osteoporosis. As a result of many years’ study, she developed new remedies for osteoporosis using the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

She has practiced TCM mainly on herself, relatives and friends since 1988. Dr Jiang is good at using herbs externally for bone and joint diseases, in particular osteoporosis and arthritis; headache; dizziness; red eyes; mouth ulcers; prostatic hypertrophy; menstrual pain or heavy flow; infertility; and many more.

She is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
